A New Chapter for Barbara Speake Agency

Barbara Speake Agency has been part of the British entertainment industry since 1961.

Founded by Lady Barbara Speake and later developed alongside Ms June Collins, the agency built its reputation through an extraordinary eye for talent and a genuine commitment to developing performers. Over the years, their work reached across theatre, television, film, modelling and the wider performing arts, helping to shape the careers of many familiar names.

June Collins passed away many years ago, but her contribution remained an important part of the agency’s history and of the work she and Barbara built together.

Lady Barbara Speake continued that legacy for many years. Following her passing around a year and a half ago, the agency was entrusted to new ownership, with the aim of protecting its history while also taking it forward.

That next chapter is now taking shape.

Young Performers remains at the heart of Barbara Speake Agency, alongside our adult Talent division. We are also expanding our work across Digital & Brand Partnerships, Literary & Creative, Film & Television, Rights & Ventures, Casting and BSA Advisory.

The aim is to build an agency that reflects the industry as it is today. One that represents talent, develops careers, brings people and projects together, supports producers and creates opportunities across different areas of entertainment.

A great deal has changed since 1961, but the foundations of the agency have not.

Recognising talent, nurturing potential and creating opportunities remains at the centre of what we do.
